Uni work

Hi-Fi prototype
Nedapp

Duration: 1 semester

Type of work: Individual work

Topics: UI design, Usability testing

This project, titled "Unwrapping gift experience," was part of the "Bespoke Design" course. The focus was on the creative challenge of designing a unique and customized experience for the unveiling of gifts. Over the course of a semester, I had to exclusively focus on the needs and desires of an individual person to develop an unforgettable and individualized digital presentation of gifts.

Project description

The main goal of this project was to create and design an unique unwrapping experience that reflects the personal preferences, interests and emotions of the recipient.

Goals

1.Analysis of the needs

Conduct of in-depth interviews and surveys to understand the preferences, interests and personality of the selected person. Looked at questions such as "What are their favourite colours?", "What hobbies do they have?" and "What does special gift wrapping mean to them?".

2. Concept development

Based on the findings from the needs analysis, I developed creative ideas and concepts for gift wrapping. They will consider different materials, shapes, colours and design elements to find a unique and appealing solution.

3. HiFi prototype development

The selected concepts will be turned into prototypes to test their practical feasibility. I used different techniques and methods of gift wrapping and iteratively improve the prototypes to achieve the best possible result.

4. Presentation and evaluation

At the end of the semester, I presented my final gift packaging and conducted a comprehensive evaluation. The selected person will try out the gift wraps and give their feedback to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the designs.
